Book I’m Reading
Here’s another great little booklet I’m reading for my biblical counseling certification. Newheiser is an excellent counselor with decades of experience. Nearly every page of my Kindle version has highlights and notes!
Video I’m Watching
First, I’m linking the full video here because people should take the time to watch the whole thing. Actually, it’s advisable to watch the full video in every one of these situations because people will clip out and post the most controversial, heated segments of conversations to support their narrative.
This is such a touchy, difficult situation. Of course, the US wants Zelensky to be able to negotiate from a position of strength. But coming to the Oval Office with swagger, a lack of gratefulness, and an expectation that Trump would give him more of the same he got from Biden won’t work well for Zelensky.
On the other hand, I’m reminded of the fateful policy of appeasement that British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and other European leaders used with Hitler leading up to WWII. There are many differences in this situation, true, but appeasement of dictators is appeasement of dictators.
