Book I’m Reading
I’m reading this with my Dad; I just started last week. It’s an excellent, thorough history from Lyn Alden. I read nearly everything she writes and have benefited immensely from her analysis of both historic and current macro conditions.

Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy (MSTR) is executing a remarkable short inflation strategy. His company is borrowing USD and using the proceeds to purchase Bitcoin (which he believes to be the hardest asset in history). He’s borrowing a devaluing currency (USD has lost 86% of its value in the last 50 years), and purchasing a hard asset (Bitcoin’s compound annual growth rate since inception is nearly 200%).
Keep your eye on MSTR over the next year, as I expect it to massively outperform. The next Bitcoin halving is expected around April 19, 2024, after which Bitcoin’s price (and therefore, MSTR’s price) should melt up into the second half of this year. There will be much volatility along the way.

And how about that volatility? You may be up over 50% YTD but look at that 4% drawdown today, irresponsible to hold.

We’re in the looting-the-treasury phase of imperial collapse. The dynamic described below isn’t just happening in San Francisco; it’s also the $100B wasted on Californian high speed rail and the rapidly growing $35T+ national debt at the federal level. And… https://t.co/kI4TmaaI4O
This is the single-best documentary I've seen that explains why nuclear power got shut down in America; why that was a understandable mistake based on fear, anxiety, and ideology; and how we can scale up nuclear safely. Via @TheAbridgedZach @reason pic.twitter.com/l66mBYTg3l
