Book I’m Reading

A leader at SonSet Solutions let me borrow this one this week. It’s a quick read, intended to introduce an organization to EOS which stands for Entrepreneurial Operating System. EOS is a well-oiled system for aligning all parts of an organization behind the vision of the organization, documenting and helping teammates execute the core operational processes, and running meetings in a productive way.

We’re already doing a few things they suggest and other ideas came to mind as well. From the Goodreads summary:

Has your company struggled to roll EOS out to all levels of your organization? Do your employees understand why EOS is important or even what it is?

What the Heck is EOS? is for the millions of employees in companies running their businesses on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System). An easy and fast read, this book answers the questions many employees have about EOS and their

• What is an operating system?
• What is EOS and why is my company using it?
• What are the EOS foundational tools and how do they impact me?
• What’s in it for me?

Designed to engage employees in the EOS process and tools, What the Heck is EOS? uses simple, straightforward language and provides questions about each tool for managers and employees to discuss creating more ownership and buy-in at the staff level. After reading this book, employees will not only have a better understanding of EOS but they will be more engaged, taking an active role in helping achieve your company’s vision.

Video I’m Watching

Joe Rogan’s reach through his podcast is incredible. Independent media is truly replacing legacy media. Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter (now X) was a catalyst to this end.

With my knowledge of the crypto world, and more specifically, the Bitcoin world, I was aware of Operation Chokepoint 2.0. It’s a story I’ve been following for well over a year. Marc Andreessen sheds light onto the politically-motivated de-banking of many companies in the crypto industry.

Articles I’m Reading

Great Founder Theory (Samo Burja)

Actually a collection of essays, not an article. But excellent, nonetheless.

Missionary Attrition (Ted Esler)

Missionaries on average serve about 12 years and that number has remained relatively stable over the last 20 years.

On Bitcoin

Promoting State Financial Innovation

This paper from the Satoshi Action Fund advocates for more state involvement in regulating the financial industry. They argue this will better preserve the balance of power between state and federal authorities.
