Book I'm Reading

I’ve listened to many hours of Andrew Huberman’s podcast and have learned a lot from him. I appreciate his simple, clear explanations of some of the most complicated systems in our human bodies.

I’ve benefited greatly from his work around sleep, focus, and the neurological chemicals dopamine, adrenaline, and norepinephrine called catecholamines.

This book is straightforward, simple to understand, and incredibly comprehensive.

Coal: Part II — Global Dominance and Modern Challenges

From J.P. Morgan’s steel empire and the electrification of cities to the World Wars, labor struggles, and coal’s role in shaping modern China and India—the complete story of coal’s global dominance and its impact on our climate future.

I enjoyed Part I so much I jumped straight into Part II. This is a good podcast. These guys go deep and tell the history in a compelling way.

On Bitcoin

Bitcoin appears to have decisively broken out above the $82k level this week, which is what was needed to start the next leg up. It also broke and held above the 50-week moving average, which historically has always marked the end of the bear part of the cycle and start of a fresh bull market. Let’s watch and see.

Pretty amazing, though, that Bitcoin stands today above $84,000 when just three years ago it was under $17,000.
