Book I’m Reading
I’m reading this “mini-book” for my biblical counseling certification. From the Goodreads summary:
Everybody knows somebody who is addicted to something. But maybe addiction is more personal for you. Maybe you once had real hopes and dreams, desires and possibilities. But then you became an addict, and what started out as fun or an attempt at relief from pain and shame grew into something bigger. Here Jim Berg shows that no matter how tangled your life has become, God offers you hope and help through his word and his people.
Podcast I’m Listening To
I always listen to the audio-only version of Lex’s podcast but the video of this one is both easier to share and likely more impactful.
Many times when listening to Lex, I think to myself, “Wow. He is so close to the gospel.” This leads me to pray that God will break through to Lex and open his eyes to the gospel’s truth.
I’ve not listened to Peterson very much but, hearing this episode, I sense he is close as well. If you read this, pray for Jordan Peterson.
