I’ve been so encouraged by this accessible read. Rinne did a great job bringing together the various Scripture passages detailing the elder qualifications and expectations.
I can heartily recommend this for both aspiring elders and existing elders.

On Bitcoin
Nothing is certain (except the word of God which will stand forever – Matthew 24:25), but in my opinion the probability that Bitcoin is forever broken by quantum is low single digits.
Notice I said forever broken.
Quantum computers capable of running Shor’s algorithm at scale and breaking the ECDSA-based security of Bitcoin wallets with exposed public keys will eventually arrive. Maybe sooner than many think.
But I believe the incentives and open-source nature of the Bitcoin network will help us beef up the security before that happens.
