Books I'm Reading
Our Operations Leadership Team at SonSet Solutions finished this one recently. It has been transformative for us. It’s an immensely biblical, practical book with many helpful suggestions around growing in your prayer life as a leader of God’s people. From the Goodreads summary:
Skoog, Greer, and Doolittle spent three years researching. They logged over one hundred hours of interviews with leaders in six continents who collectively serve in over one hundred countries. They researched or spoke with global entrepreneurs and business executives of Fortune 500 companies, as well as some of the most influential pastors and ministry leaders in the world. Here in this book, the authors share the spiritual habits, techniques, and practices of these world-changing leaders, revealing specific details of their prayer lives. In addition, the book includes prayers for leaders to use in their own prayer time as well as tools for how to cultivate a personal and organizational commitment to prayer.
Podcast I'm Listening To
Shawn Ryan, a former Navy SEAL, has emerged as one of the top long-form interview podcasts in the last year. And rightfully so. Here’s a great episode with Jocko Willink, another former SEAL.
On Bitcoin
Leaders need to understand something: you are responsible for the people you lead. This includes, to varying degrees, their economic health into the future.
Of course, everyone makes their own choices and they’re responsible to God for those choices.
But to the degree you’re able, you must be helping make the economic futures of those you lead better, not worse.
Until something better comes along, I’ll continue to believe that Bitcoin is the best way to store one’s economic value across time (into the future).

1) What does the end user (customer, employee, co-founder) expect from me?
2) How do I exceed those expectations? (create a list)
3) Are there any blockers from exceeding those expectations?
4) What are all of the possible…
Pro tip: If you're afraid to take the risk, write down in excruciating detail what you're actually afraid of having happen. Step by step what happens next when you fail. You'll often find it's not so bad when you spell it out.
