On Bitcoin

If you’ve not yet read the White House’s digital asset report, please do so. It’s worth your time. Or, worth your time to have your favorite LLM summarize and explain the most important points. The Bitcoin explanation on pages 9-10 of the report is the clearest and most concise I’ve found online since 2018.

It is mind-blowing to reflect on the 180° pivot that the current administration has made toward digital assets, compared to the prior administration.

Of the 12 senior-most cabinet members under President Biden, all but one were opposed or indifferent to Bitcoin and digital assets. In the current administration, all of these cabinet members are pro-digital assets.

The landmark passing of the GENIUS Act in July arguably represents the most consequential year for financial regulations in the U.S. since 1933.

Bitcoin and other digital assets are simply technologies. Technologies solve problems. Digital assets are solving problems for many millions of people globally today.

Just because you don’t understand them doesn’t mean they’re not valuable or useful. What are the 12 senior-most members of the President’s cabinet seeing that you’re not?
