Book I'm Reading
I grabbed the kindle version of this last week and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. There are good principles and ideas to put into practice. Brent Donnelly has published a blog on trading for years now and has one of most insightful perspectives I’ve ever seen on markets, practical psychology, and risk management. This one is worth reading.

Coal: Part I – The Black Rock That Built Our World
How a black rock formed from ancient swamps became the foundation of modern civilization—powering the Industrial Revolution, reshaping cities, and creating the electrical grid that still defines our lives today.
On Bitcoin
Bitcoin price action this week wasn’t encouraging until Sept 18. It was bumping up against overhead resistance into the FOMC meeting and Fed Chair Warsh’s speech. But things turned quickly after that. Price pushed above the $81k highs from the range over the last 3-4 weeks. If price clears this $76-$81k range (previous range high was ~$82,200) and holds it, my opinion is that the bear market bottom is in at ~$57k. If so, get ready for the bull market to heat up over the next 18-24 months.
Tracking the 4yr cycle for BTC, October 2026 was the anticipated bottom. For 12 weeks, we skated off the 200-week MA with only two closes below it. We never dropped below $57k. The week of August 17 brough a huge candle and we’ve been basing in this $76-82k range now for 4 weeks. This is a healthy consolidation. It seems the market front-ran that anticipated October bottom.
Bitcoin is primed for its next leg up. With 10-yr treasury rates blowing out, geopolitical uncertainty ramping, and no end in sight with the Iran war, trust in US fiscal responsibility is at an all-time low. This is a perfect storm for uncensorable, supply-capped money (Bitcoin).
Still, anything could happen. Bitcoin could hit this $82k resistance level from May and roll over. Time will tell.

one of the best ways you can experience this is turn on a cold shower, and notice what happens to your body as you’re about to go in, then train yourself to unbrace… and then apply that same move to everything in increasingly subtle ways https://t.co/nWsFvdks5N
